The fact that the light continues to glow after shutting down your PC is because the USB ports are still powered. This is down to your mainboard's BIOS settings. However, you can deactivate this feature on the majority of mainboards. Every vendor uses its own name (e.g. "App Charger") and this can be deactivated in the BIOS settings.

It takes longer than 10 seconds to save changes to the driver software:

Check that your antivirus program isn’t blocking the driver software. If you use the default Microsoft Security Essentials program, you can add the rule under the tab "Settings", "Excluded files and locations" as well as via "Excluded processes".
Simply add the folder C:Program Files (x86)ROCCAT by searching for it.

Win8
Check thatyour antivirus program isn’t blocking the driver software. Open "Windows Defender" (or your antivirus program) and create an exception for the ROCCAT driver as shown in the example.

Try to plug in a second mouse and click "Driver Reset" under the "Advanced Control" option in the driver software.

First, unzip the zip file. It can cause problems if you try to run the setup from the zipped file.
You must be logged in as the administrator. If you are not logged in as the administrator, right-click the .exe file and click "Run as administrator".
If the "MSI Afterburner" program is running, end it when installing the ROCCAT driver. In particular, make sure the "RTSS.exe" process is not running in the background. You can check this via Task Manager.

Unfortunately no Mac driver is available for the Kone Pure.
It has an internal memory which lets you save all settings in 5 profiles. All changes made via the mouse's software are stored in this onboard memory and can then also be accessed on the mouse via Mac OS X.

You must use shortcuts if your game doesn't detect the buttons.
In the driver software, under "Button Assignment" click the particular macro button and using "Assign a Shortcut" select a key which you are not using in the game such as "J". To save, click "OK" and then "APPLY" on the bottom right.
Even if the game doesn't support the macro button, you can now configure the particular button assignment while ingame.

Leave the Kone Pure connected and plug in a second mouse (not a Kone mouse). Navigate to the folder "C:Program Files (x86)ROCCATKone Pure MouseFWupdate" and double-click "KonePure Firmware Upgrade.exe". Be sure to run the file as the administrator (right-click and select "Run as administrator").

First, blow hard on the mouse sensor to remove any dust particles.
Leave your Kone connected and plug in a second mouse. In the driver, open the "Advanced Control" tab, click "TCU ON", and follow the on-screen instructions. This lets you calibrate the laser sensor to suit the mousepad using the Tracking Control Unit.
